Warning Flexing of the logic board can break solder joints to parts To prevent damage to the board guard against flexing
1. Disconnect the cables shown.
2. Remove the two screws and move the right speaker and wire down away from the logic board.
3. Remove the screws shown.
Note: If a right ambient light sensor board was removed, that procedure already removed the upper right logic board screw.
4. Important: Thermal material on the bottom side of the board, between the board and heatsink, may make it difficult for the board to release.
Verify that all screws have been removed, then use a black stick to apply light, slow, upward pressure under the left side of the logic board until the it releases from the heatsink. Do not pry. Do not flex the board.
- 5. After the board releases, lift the left side slightly and remove the two connectors.
6. Carefully lift the left side of the board and pivot along the ports side. Support the board along its sides as it lifts to avoid flexing.
